In a different case, if I'm proofreading files and have to ask the editor to ask the person to send me back the correct font files, I would at least lose 1-2 days of work. In other cases, I'm doing corrections on files and they requested the font to be changed anyways, so I just want to change the font directly without the annoying popup each time.

For the past couple of years, I have been working with the Barlow type family from Google Fonts for a client. It has come to my attention that if the Google Fonts are not loaded and activated on a computer, and a document is opened in InDesign, instead of giving a warning and asking for the fonts to be activated, it goes ahead and activates the version of Barlow on Adobe Fonts.

If all the fonts in a document are installed, clicking the Font Substitution button in the Options box does not produce the Font Substitution box.
